    First vivid memory of HF was losing in the Holiday bowl and then hiring their head coach away because of it, which from the perspective of an impressionable 11 yo was something that badass programs do.

    If you are talking about Neuheisel, UW lost the 1996 Holiday to Colorado but didn't hire Neuheisel until Jan 1999 after Lambo had his ass handed to him by Fisher DeBerry's Falcons. However, Neuheisel was in Hawaii for that game as that was in the midst of couple years the NCAA added the Oahu Bowl...not to be confused with the prestigious Aloha Bowl. Neuheisel's Buffaloes were playing (vs ?) in the Aloha and UW was playing AFA in the new Oahu Bowl. Rumor has it that's when Babs started getting wet for the young guitar playing lawyer.


    I think that's right but if it's not, I'm getting old anyway. Dementia.
