The basic economic rule is that if it costs more its less efficient. Why has the "need never been greater?" Exactly what is wrong with the current state of the US environment? The chicoms emission of CO2 is twice that of the US and growing, while our CO2 emissions are decreasing. Biden is bought and paid for by the chicoms. You think he is going to get the world's biggest polluter on board? With the left intentionally tanking the US economy, we don't have $2 trillion to waste on inefficient energy production. If we were serious about CO2 reduction, the article would have promoted nuclear energy and exporting US natural gas to the chicoms. But they aren't. Seriousness and the left don't go together.

After years of climate inaction in Washington, the need for urgency has never been greater, and Biden is right to accelerate his timetable. If elected, he now promises to spend $2 trillion over four years to give the U.S. a mighty shove toward emissions reductions in not only electric power but also transportation, buildings, housing and other areas — in a way that provides jobs and cleaner air and water for the communities that need them most. Such an effort would ensure that the U.S. makes meaningful progress on climate protection and, in the process, provide the economic stimulus and jobs that Americans need to emerge from the Covid-19 recession and come out stronger.
