What the fuck is the difference in regards to the virus of playing all in conference to playing the whole schedule? The virus is everywhere...makes no sense.

Nothin makes sense, at all. Death rate plummeted, kids are minimally affected, masks are useless... nothin makes sense, other than this is alllllll political and I can't wait until November to get over this shit.vadawg said:What the fuck is the difference in regards to the virus of playing all in conference to playing the whole schedule? I'll be in line for a full refund.DoubleJDawg said:It feels like projecting only a 10-12% reduction (or whatever it was) in football ticket revenue for this season might have been a wee bit optimistic
I wonder if they are thinking people will still buy the cardboard cutouts even though none of the games will be played -
Still on stage 1 of grief, while most on here have moved on to bargaining or depression. Props to Damone for jumping straight ahead to acceptance in March.Postal91 said:

My mouth started watering when I thought you'd linked to https://www.chinawhite.com/ but further research proves that site is even gayer than what you linked.LebamDawg said:we? need to focus on the important stuff

You like to refer to the national championship as the ship. Makes it sound hipper. It's what you like to do.CallMeBigErn said:
The dominos are beginning to fall. PAC soon to follow, I'd expect. And, to be honest, playing 11 conference games is (would be) a hell of a consolation prize. Get rid of the divisions and play the games. Top 2 play in the 'ship. Play Oregon or USC twice. Win. -
If there is truly a deadly pandemic sweeping the nation, why are they playing ANY games?
-
They won't. This is March in slow motion. We're at the stage where people were bandying about ideas like not letting fans 60+ attend, letting older coaches delegate duties to assistants, and playing the NCAA tourney at only 1site with multiple courts.DerekJohnson said:If there is truly a deadly pandemic sweeping the nation, why are they playing ANY games?

Money and liability. IF there are actually games, the Big10 will want to have full oversight over the safety/testing procedures both teams are usingDerekJohnson said:If there is truly a deadly pandemic sweeping the nation, why are they playing ANY games?

Exactly. I was right there with @MikeDamone on this. Either play the normal schedule with that fans there or don’t. The half measures are stupid. Its either a pandemic sweeping the nation or it’s not.DerekJohnson said:If there is truly a deadly pandemic sweeping the nation, why are they playing ANY games?

I get letters...
Husky Nation,
Thank you for your continued support as a season ticket holder for Husky football. In the midst of our planning for the 2020 season, it was announced today that the Big Ten Conference has moved to a conference-only schedule for this fall. This decision impacts our scheduled season opener at Husky Stadium with Michigan. Like you, we have been looking forward to welcoming the Wolverines to Seattle, but we understand this decision was made due to the impact of COVID-19 and prioritizing the health and well-being of student-athletes. We are in conversations with Michigan for a rescheduled return game to Seattle, and look forward to sharing any details when they become available.
As we continue to follow CDC, state & local government, university and the Pac-12 medical advisory group’s mandates and recommendations while navigating the current global health pandemic, much is still to be determined for the upcoming season for us on Montlake. At this time we are continuing to evaluate what our plans will be for this fall. When we have further updates, including information on your ticket plans, we will share as soon as possible.
Our top priority remains the health and well-being of our students, coaches, staff and Husky community, and we will ensure that our decisions reflect this priority. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate this very fluid situation.
Husky fans are the best, and we miss you. Our student-athletes and coaches can’t wait to see you again in Husky Stadium. We will provide updates to keep you informed as more details become available for the upcoming year.

It's not happening though. The world is over. Someone better come up with some content and a new bored or two or this site is going to get pretty boring with no football to argue or commiserate about. -

Was looking forward to Harbaugh's post game press conference where he whined about the game.

Season ticket holders aren’t getting a refund
At best you’ll get a credit for future sales -
They wontDerekJohnson said:If there is truly a deadly pandemic sweeping the nation, why are they playing ANY games?

I didn’t want to watch a 0-0 game anyways.
-
What’s Jim Harbaugh going to do with all of these then???
In all seriousness this is really a bummer for UW. Even if the Wolverines are not what they used to be that was the first out of conference game I was REALLY excited about when it was announced.
*Sigh* I can never have nice things. -
USC and UW played in the Rose Bowl during WW2. Will the Pac 12 Title game be the Rose Bowl this year? There won't be a season dumbass
