Got a buddy that has one and I made the mistake of shooting a water moccasin at fairly close range from a boat to a steep river bank beside us with no ear muffs. Ears rang for days. Fine pistol though.
It's a shame that Colt products have fallen so far in the last 20 years. I was a huge Colt fan in the 90s. They just kept getting worse every year afterwards. I tried to get excited about the new reissue Python, but realized it was just nostalgia talking. Buy a Performance Center S&W if you are buying a modern wheelgun. Twice the performance at maybe 20-30% more cost. No brainer.
