Kikaha and Shelton.

Complete studs. I like our LBs, Parker and Peters, but Danny Shelton and Hauoli Kikaha were awesome last night. Complete difference makers.

If Shelton comes back and he and Kikaha stay healthy, we're gonna be a dangerous defense.

I agree about Shelton and Kikaha, but our secondary outside of Peters scares the shit out of me. Lake has his work cut out for him if we're going to have a top D next year.

Passion I share your enthusiasm but those 2 ain't gonna cut it. We desperately need another interior lineman. As we saw last noght, when Shelton gets gassed we are FUCKED. Hope Jojo beefs up

EQ needs massive work in weight room too. We're pretty thin on the dline Passion. . Prolly our thinnest position next to safety. We'll squeak by next year but when Shelton books we're in trouble. If he leaves for Draft this year we are FUCKED buddy.

Timu was the best all around last night.

    Better than Kahlua?
  • I thought Shelton announced he was coming back already?

Anyways I expect some of those true freshman next year to step up on the DL. It is nice returning all your DL and LB's. Secondary will be hurting but in college you are always going to be young at a certain spot.

Peters should be the best corner in the league and UW is bringing in a good secondary coach so I think they'll end up being fine.

Peters and Ross at corner, move Shaq back to strong safety/ rover, Shirley to OLB, JoJo inside with war Daddy Shelton, Timu, Feeny round it out.

That actually sounds like a pretty solid defensive group

    DE - Kikaha
    DT - Shelton
    DT - Cree?
    DE - Tupou?

    OLB - Shirley
    MLB - Timu
    OLB - Feeny/Littleton

    CB - Peters
    CB - Ross/Watson
    SS - Shaq
    FS - ????

How do you feel about the formula being executed by this group?

That shows how disinterested I became during the Sark era, I thought for sure Kikaha's eligibility was used up.

I agree, total stud. If he's healthy and coming back, look out. Could he rack up 18 sacks against this schedule? I say yes.

Secondary and oline look iffy, spring ball can't start soon enough.

I think OL will be average at worst. Tons of experience, solid depth, and decent talent that should have good to great coaching. I'll actually be disappointed if the 2014 OL is only average.

    2015 could be ugly, though.

Safety is the only position I'm full blown concerned about. Corner talent is great as long as there's no injuries.

Shaq to safety, Shirley to LB. I honestly believe that would have been great this year. Shirley's current status in the doghouse is mystifying...the dude can run, bench 400+, and doesnt have ideal dline size.....so why the FUCK isnt he a LB?

It annoys me that Sark burned redshirts of some of key recruits instead of giving them a year to build up. But a year of weight training will help a lot.

I've maintained Shaq's a safety from day one. I'd love that part, hopefully CP is on board.

I'm not sure Shirley has the lateral speed for LB, but much better than wasting him away. I'd try it.
