I honestly don't get it. So why is Wilcox a good coach? Our defense looks like shit. BYU kept BYU from scoring as much as we did. Our pass defense (293 yards allowed) was its old pathetic self. More muffed tackles than I could count.

    As mentioned above, LEAVE.

I've tried to like Wilcox as a DC, I really have. I just don't see it. He improved UW's defense from being pathetic to being average. Maybe a little above average in 2012. But there has to be a lot of other DCs out there who are equally if not more capable.

Wilcox doesn't seem to have a style of defense -- except to say they play consistently inconsistent. Maybe he'll be a very good one someday. But no way is he there yet.

I was as pissed at anyone in the forst half, but the defense stepped up in the second half. In the first half, Littleton alone gave up BYU's first TD by whiffing on two sacks. Wilcox is in charge of his players, but on some level Littleton should take a little blame.

I'm ready for a new regime though. Coach K, Gregory, and Lake > Wilcox, Sirmon, and Heyward, and most importantly Petersen >>>> Sark. Future is bright for the first time since Rick got fired.

Road, you're usually right on the money with your observations, but the second half was not that good.

The Stormin' Mormons still completed passes at will in the second half. It wasn't all Wilcox because he wasn't playing. However, he's responsible for his guys' half assed play, Littelton, etc. An explosive offense would half lit these guys up they way they played last night. As mentioned, the regression by some players particularly Thompson is pretty stark.

Weak, shitty D performance. The Excuse Era is over.
