Chip Kelly is the best coach in the country? Give me a fucking break. Win one game against a team with a big name. Ohio State, LSU, Auburn, Boise State, Stanford, etc. Chip was good and I want him back, but he was approaching Big Game Bob status. TCU and Stanford beat Wisconsin in their three year Buffalo Bill impression. Kansas State winning the Big-12 means the Big-12 is down, just like this year with Baylor.

IMO, Gus Malzahn is every bit the coach Chip is. He beat Chip in the BCS when he was obviously in charge in 2010 and is back in it after one season. We don't even know if Chip was the best coach in the Pac-12. Anything Chip did Shaw would match it.

Chip was smart for leaving. He got a massive pay bump and doesn't have to deal with the rest of the conference getting much better coaches. Comparing Chip to Tom Osborne is a fucking insult. Frank Solich was fired for his drinking more than his record.
