I'll say it again: overly enthusiastic neighborhood watch, and a loaded gun. What could possibly go wrong?

When you're on your property, do what you have to do to defend your castle. But fuck. Don't fucking chase people you suspect of property crimes with a fucking gun. Just fucking don't do that. Even if you're right, it's not worth the risk to everybody involved.

I grew up with and around guns. All the men in my life put the fucking fear of God in me about how to handle them. And rule #1: don't bring it out unless you're in a situation in which you are for sure willing to use it. Otherwise it stays put away.

Completely agree. Even if the guy were the suspect of property crimes, take his fucking picture, call the cops and follow him in the truck for as long as you can. Lock the doors. The video outraged people of all colors and rightly so. And of course it hits harder to a Black person. There is no way to minimize or justify what happened nor can we just pretend that this was going the good old boy route until stopped.

You got a GOP president commenting and saying he seemed like a great kid which no GOP does and if the kid was a thief its not a death sentence but politicians stay quiet for that reason
