He then revealed what he called a “dirty little secret.”

“The district attorneys and certain sheriffs aren’t enforcing Gavin Newsom’s rules, so I think things are going to unravel for him,” Beccaro said.

I don't know that things will unravel for the Commandant of California because (D) but can confirm that in Corona Del Mar small businesses along the coast highway are open and no masks in site. They just managed to get the OC over 40 dead.

    They didn't "need to" shut down if they wanted to run up the score on Norway and Denmark. I guess it depends on what you wanted to accomplish.

    The Sweden vs Denmark/Norway comparison is one worth delving into. Yeah Sweden got hit harder with more deaths, but we're only talking a difference of a couple thousand while largely saving the economy. In that specific outcome comparison, I'm taking Sweden every day.

    That's one data point. Each respective state that opens early will be another. Not a perfect control group, but still. Laboratories of democracy and all that.
    I'm glad you see the need to compare. I always thought you were reasonable even when we disagree

    We have control groups. Now we need honesty in comparing so we can make that calculation

    Compared to Switzerland? Not too bad. And Sweden just let it rip. Those who locked down still have a much larger population that haven't been exposed. You don't win the game at half time. That's what we learned with Willy T.
