The UW model (go DAWGS!) projects that on May 5th, the day after the current order from Inslee would now expire, we will have 40 Covid-19 patients in hospital beds in the entire State of Washington. 12 of them in ICU and a need for only 9 ventilators. This is in a state of 7.5 million+ population.
If that holds and Inslee doesn’t open it back up, expect shit to get real.

Since we’ve learned ventilators cause damage and Oxygen Concentration therapy is more effective without the invasive side effects, why are we still tracking ventilators? When can a #coronabro expect an update?

Seriously. We have stockpiles of PPE and Ventilators to handle patients, as well as plenty of ICU availability and Seemingly effective treatment pathways. Let’s get to herd immunity over the summer and be prepared to deal with this again this fall/winter.

The state, as a whole, is doing better, but cases are actually escalating in Yakima and Benton counties.
