If Gee was secretly hurt that UW didn’t offer because it was his dream growing up or he wanted to play with his HS friends or whatever the reason, then why didn’t he flip the moment UW offered? It’s not like CP was badmouthing him and ruining his other offers. He had offers from all over. He’s going to one of the elite programs in the country. Every UW fan I’ve heard wishes that Pete offered and that he was gonna play for UW.

Junior Adams, I'm sure in an effort to get talent, said he would filter Sr. for the chance to coach Gee Jr. Pete grudgingly relents. Boom! Kinda late offer. Either that or Pete had decided to quit and told Junior he could offer whoever the fuck he wanted. Gee Sr. seemed very complimentary of JA after the offer, not Pete, but Junior.
There could be more to the story if certain players in the group chat did more with the content after it as shared or someone tried influence victims or witnesses. Not saying that happened. Don’t twist. There is just likely more to the story than is being reported at this point.
