If only Trump had listened to Fauci

Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), said Sunday the American public shouldn’t worry about the coronavirus outbreak in China.
“It’s a very, very low risk to the United States,” Fauci said during an interview with radio show host John Catsimatidis.
“But it’s something that we as public health officials need to take very seriously... It isn’t something the American public needs to worry about or be frightened about. Because we have ways of preparing and screening of people coming in [from China]. And we have ways of responding - like we did with this one case in Seattle, Washington, who had traveled to China and brought back the infection.”

And of course, three days later Fauci was saying concerning reports that asymptomatic people could spread the virus had arisen and that we needed greater transparency and data sharing from China.

“This is such a joyous occasion, and there have been a lot of tough things in the world — police officers attacked, and thankfully, they will be okay,” de Blasio said. “And in China, there are so many of loved ones, faced with coronavirus and we stand together as community. We celebrate New Year together – we are united, and we celebrate this extraordinary Chinese community the largest of any city outside of Asia.”
Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez, a grand marshal of this year’s parade, said the city and country confronted the SARS outbreak nearly two decades ago, and now they will “successfully confront coronavirus.”
“I’m here to say that Chinatown is open for business and we are behind you and we will remain strong,” Velazquez said. “Last night, I was here dining in a restaurant in Chinatown. I welcome everyone to come here and celebrate the culture and beauty of this community.”

Great, did he then say Americans were in danger and we should start worrying about it and immediately engage in social distancing and quarantines? Because according you, Trump didn't take the virus seriously and he didn't listen to what his experts were telling him.HHusky said:And of course, three days later Fauci was saying concerning reports that asymptomatic people could spread the virus had arisen and that we needed greater transparency and data sharing from China.
