Haven't even heard of Billions, and The Wire is one of those shows that I missed at the time. By the time I heard about it being the greatest thing ever, there were already so many seasons in the can (ILTCIITCIWILTD) that it was an intimidating time commitment to get started. The Mrs. and I gave it a go for a few episodes, but it was pretty slow. I was ready for that, as word on the street is "give it time," but then I changed jobs and TV went pretty much out the window.

Some day I hope to get terminal cancer so I can sit in bed and catch up on all the rad shows I missed, but for now I'm sitting this one out.

Billions is by FAR my favorite show on TV right now though Succession is kind of catching up.

Bobby, Wags, Dollar Bill, Taylor, Chuck, Wendy, Mafee - all classic characters.

If somehow they could work Lloyd, Ari and Mrs. Ari from Entourage in, that would be awesome.

They or It are/ is one of the best characters in recent memory.

Both the Wire and Breaking Bad were tough for me to get thru until a few episodes in. Once you learn the characters in the Wire it gets amazing. Season 2 of the Wire isn’t great because so many characters change it’s good tho.) Seasons 3 and 4 are as good as it gets.

Same here. Breaking Bad was in season 4 or 5 before I started it and I had to rewatch the first few episodes because they didn't grab me the first time. I just watched Yhe Wire for the first time last fall. Season one was great, two lost me, then it got better and better. It's not championship level but it's in the next tier for me.

I seem to be in the minority, but I loved season 2 of the wire.

Give AP some tim to get it's own links in there. AP is an acquired taste for many, but once you "get it," there is no turning back. Took me several years before I got it. First tim I saw one in the early 2000's I thought they looked like shit. Now, man love.

I will be the first to admit that I'm just a rube when it comes to the watch hobby. Now COVID - 19 will probably set me back 10 years on the path of watch awesomeness.

Speaking of AP I just got an e-mail from their service center in Clearwater, FL. We regret to inform you that due to COVID-19....blah blah blah. I sent them a watch for service a month ago. 9 weeks turnaround. Now looking more like 9 months. Good thing it's only a 40K watch. Motherfucking COVID!!!!!!!!!!!

I ended up liking it too after writing it off after a couple of episodes. The mostly all new characters was tough to get used to. It still doesn’t compare to season 3 or 4. Those little kid actors were great.
