They'd just start the football season in December or whenever

No chance. What would they do for the next season?
Timelines can be adjusted. Lost revenue can't.
Lay it out for us. It's not you have anything to do. Revise the schedule for us!
Non conference is cancelled. Teams use September to practice and begin conference play in October.

With no September we'll lose the Michigan and Oregon games.

Would be surprised if there a season this year.

Herb's an idiot and wants the clicks. Does he think there will be no season after 5 months of this??? Where we already have a drug that is proving to knock this thing out, better testing on the way, and the SUMMER still to come.

    Fuck off Herb.

Summer will surely be the end of it. Spring is trying but doesnt quite have the horsepower.

Oregon still has to happen during a bye week or something.

You lose Michigan and the 2 shit tier opponents we shouldn't be playing anyways.

Who the fuck cares what Herbstreit thinks. What’s important and most accurate is what Kim thinks. Anyone?

Nobody knows what things are going to look like a month from now much less 5 months from now ...

The "concern" about the Fall/Winter would be the virus coming back ... it's a fair concern

Here's what we don't know (in no particular order):

    1) What herd immunity looks like at that point

    2) What the treatment situation looks like - are we able to treat and move on

    3) What are steps taken to limit further outbreaks

So many question marks ... but what we know for sure is that college football depends on gate receipts and going a full season without CFB revenue will be crippling for a number of programs.

i love we are using terms that typically apply to livestock on humans

    SEC will play. Dot.com.

Don’t matter who else plays, might as well sit it out.

SEC champ, and even maybe runner up, National Champ.

Just sit it out, No use playing the game and getting Corona, or worse from concussions.

No season. Not without a vaccine. Too much liability. And the supposed drug treatments being touted now are not real solutions.

Very possible, but so is Covid 19 fatigue. It will get restless if things are still shut down by September. Can’t afford to just shut everything down forever. There will be a breaking point before a vaccine comes.

    The NFL will play

I can’t see the greediest league ever taking a full season off. Even without fans, the tv ratings would be very high.

And Goodell is already a piece of shit according to Twitter et al so he just ignores them anyway which is actually a good policy. Its a surprisingly low percentage of people who use twitter when you consider its influence

You can call it greed but by September it will be a public service

College football took the weekend after JFK off. The NFL didn't.

WW2 baseball was all that mattered and they played even though most of the good players were in uniform

As I recall getting back to baseball after 9-11 was a huge deal. Especially in NY
