This article states that the existing process, from this ONE Ohio company, sterilized 10k masks per day BEFORE today's allowed increase up to 80k masks per day.MikeDamone said:

If you've ever worked or spent time in health care facilities in the US, you'll notice how many items go straight into the garbage can without the slightest consideration of re-use. And the mask manufacturers don't make money on re-used masks - another point a shitposter like @HHusky would never understand in a million years, so they love when perfectly re-usable items are instead dumped. Duh.
But Trump is an idiot for asking "Why aren't we sterilizing and re-using some of these N95 masks?"
