Oregon Ducks spring practice observations: Starting cornerback, backup defensive tackle among absences

“Oregon held its second spring practice this afternoon at the Moshofsky Center.

The most significant change was the absences of cornerback Deommodore Lenoir and defensive tackle Brandon Dorlus, who join safety Jamal Hill, defensive tackle Kristian Williams and walk-on center Ryan Walk as players missing practice due to sickness.

Cornerback Thomas Graham Jr., who took reps at safety Thursday, was back with the corners today.

Other observations:

Graduate assistant Jonathan Krause, who was already working with the receivers, was doing so in wake of the departure of Jovon Bouknight.
The first two offensive lines were unchanged; Alex Forysth and Jonathan Denis were the centers. Other players snapping in individual work included Dawson Jaramillo and Sam Poutasi, which was new.
Cyrus Habibi-Likio got the first team reps at running back followed by Sean Dollars. This isn’t unexpected given the limits being placed on CJ Verdell and likely Travis Dye, who had his left ankle taped.
The first and second receiver groups were also unchanged and Jaylon Redd continues to sport a wrap on his right forearm.
Players who were limited did not change: WRs JR Waters and Lance Wilhoite, LB Noah Sewell, DL Austin Faoliu and OL Dawson Jaramillo and Penei Sewell. Both Jaramillo and Penei Sewell went through early position drills though.
QBs, RBs and TEs all cycled through reps. Patrick Herbert was the last TE in line.
Former Ducks LB Troy Dye attended today’s practice
Dozens of recruits attended practice and are on campus this weekend.”
