One of my more liberal employees ( they are almost all liberal, I guess ) and I had our weekly 1 on 1. The employee looked "down." I asked - what's up? You seem kind of down. She says - it's the shooting. I'm like, yeah, that was pretty awful. She then says - "It's another example of how income inequality is hurting our country." I'm like - waaaaahhhhhaaat? I asked her if she has read anything about the suspects. Answer - no. I told her that they had been arrested dozens of times and freed and that they were drug dealers.
Kind of blew a hole in her narrative. Sent her the Dory Monson article after the 1 on 1...(warned her ahead of time that he's a conservative news person in the seattle area for decades. She hadn't heard of him )
Until people like these actually educate themselves, nothing will change in Seattle.
