I carried the CRKT M16-14 for years. Fits in a front pocket (khakis not jeans) and holds up well.

Kershaw Leek.
It's a really nice flipper for the money. -
SOG does all the blades for Leatherman multitools as well. An old friend designs and engineers a lot of their products. With SOG and a couple other brands, you're going to get some good metal which makes all the difference. I have a leatherman (gift) and a SOG that are pretty handy.
Woot.com will sometimes have deals on SOG or other brands.
They currently have a couple deals: https://sellout.woot.com/offers/sog-boning-blade-with-aus-8-steel-sog-hunspoint-3-6-fixed-1?ref=w_cnt_lnd_cat_sprt_2_7
Honestly a swiss army knife, if you keep it sharp, is a solid pick up. Family friend has had same one for years, and I witnessed him cut and slice through a four inch thick branch with one, relatively quickly.
