Let's be clear - I don't think Obama ever 'tried' to bring us together. Based on subsequent actions, he was a slick orator who pushed the white guilt/hope and change buttons to get elected. Compared to McCain who was about as inspiring as watching paint dry, Obama was far more likeable and relatable. And likeability is a HUGE factor in elections- not much different than middle school student council votes, if you get right down to it.SFGbob said:

See also Donald J. Trump v. Hillary Clinton. It only takes 50% of the electoral college to win and Hillary was behind 40% out of the gate.
Which is also why someone like Tulsi or Yang would be far more viable candidates than watching-paint-dry Warren or Crazy Joe. But Dems wanna Dem.

I wasn't calling you out. But that documentary was complete garbage. Mr. Hope and Change routinely used race to whip up his core voting block.
