If you have a burnt-out head coach on the sidelines, you're going to lose to teams like UC and CU. And Pete said how hard it is for him to face his old team, so I can't imagine him being inspired to play in 13 days.
Have Jimmy coach the Vegas Bowl.

Even after making the playoff and 3 straight NY6 games, he's still known nationally as that one guy who coached BSU over Oklahoma in 2006. Even if he won a major bowl, we'd still be Boise West.
This (or Michigan) is a chance for Jimmy to shed that image.
