Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
Post 15,000 - I love you, man + a small announcement
Because I am the epitome of lame, here's my 5k post where I compare UW players and coaches to Game of Thrones characters:
https://hardcorehusky.com/discussion/26570/post-5000-if-huskies-and-hhbers-were-game-of-thrones-characters/p1And my 10k post involved me arbitrarily ranking the top poasters:
https://hardcorehusky.com/discussion/41333/post-10-000-a-comprehensive-ranking-of-the-top-100-hh-posters/p115k is going to be much more prosaic. I haven't been as active as I'd like the past year due to a weird cornucopia of UW surprisingly sucking, changing jobs, and some personal stuff. I also helped out the BDTW guys as much as I could. I love those dudes. I wish they still posted here (and over there). For recruiting stuff there should be something better than the insane asylum that is Ruth or the sycophantic anti-intellectualism of DM. The difference between me and most of those BDTW dudes, whom I am huge fans of, is that I never had any real issue with this site. On the contrary this place has been my favorite e-place -- by far -- for the past few years.
So when Derek recently asked me to be a permanent mod I quickly accepted! I expect this to impact my posting and HH in general by 0.0%, but there you go. Achievement unlocked.
I love this site. I love all of you. And yes, I love the BDTW guys too. But the heart wants what it wants. Or something.

DJ offered me a mod position but knowing that my heart wouldn't be in it and that I am looking for more out of life, I turned down the generous salary and benefits that come with being a mod.
I'll still be around to advise as needed
I think they'd let you as long as your tech skills are current?
