You are not factoring in the crappy Alabama schedule, where they play one more additional high school team than the PAC 12 does, which means one less conference game, and they will be left out of the SEC championship, which means they have to play 1 less game overall. With this calculation, one-loss Nebraska came out ahead of two-loss Colorado and one-loss, second-ranked Oregon.
