Speaking of DMV incompetence, starting next year you will need a Real ID to fly in the US. That means either a REAL ID driver’s license issued by the state DMV or a US passport. So, the Oregon dem legislature and DMV have dicked around on this until now. Which means there is no way they will be able to issue anywhere near the number of REAL ID Oregon driver’s licenses for those of us that fly. The helpful DMV bureaucrats have told us that the solution to the DMV incompetence is to go get an expensive $145 US passport which takes 6-8 weeks to secure. A bureaucracy whose main job is to issue driver’s licenses can’t do the job. But, geezus, these morons should be in charge of our internet.
So, when grandma has a stroke in Arizona and her daughter in Oregon needs to go take care of her she can buy her ticket and show up at PDX and then have the TSA tell her that her regular Oregon driver’s license which has a 2022 expiration date is no good and she can’t get on the plane. Don’t worry, she can get a US passport in 6-8 weeks. Because they care.

She can still drive to grandmas without a real ID. Problem solved.

If blacks couldn’t figure out how to get an ID in order to vote before, boy howdy, this is the death nail.

Can't wait until they take over healthcare.
