USC could win the Pac 12 South and compete in championship game

They are favored in 3/4 games remaining games by a wide margin, home dogs to Oregon (I wouldn’t bet Oregon can run on their D-Line consistency) and getting healthy healthier. They are the most talented team outside of Alabama in college football.

I don't think their school yard style of play is going to hold up. I just don't. Losses against Oregon and at ASU. And they're not getting healthier. They're getting more and more beaten up, especially on defense.

I wouldn’t want to play them again , especially with the Rose Bowel on the line

USC was lucky to beat CU last night

They're wildly inconsistent this year, when they can beat Ute and hang with ND but also struggle against BYU and CU

there are 3 scenarios in play right now:

    - USC does pretty well (which we should be hoping for) and Helton earns himself another year (to the chagrin of pretty much everyone associated with USC but they painted this situation up expecting Helton to self-immolate and if he doesn't quite light the match (which he isn't doing...yet) then they'll have to grit their teeth and live with it another year.

    - USC sputters down the stretch and USC fires Helton and embarks upon a coaching search (which is fine with me if it's a normal coaching search because it'll take a while for this to affect us in recruiting...welp, at least it won't hurt us this year).

    - Helton doesn't quite do enough and there is not a normal coaching search because Urban has already been fitted for a portable EKG machine and, knowing Urban's as smart and slimy as they come, he's already been in touch with top recruits in some indirect way that USC will end up shocking the world on Dec 21 when they early sign the #5 class in the country (moving up from the current #62 or whatever it is).

Real USC fires Helton no matter how he finishes.

Just as lucky as we were to beat them and ND... a win is a win,

Oregon should run the tables now, but Utah should get a Decent selection After that if USC wins out (please god, no Urban) they could go to a decent Bowel game. Oddly after watching LSU/Bama Oregon can compete with any of them this year
