Peterman plays football like he is playing the game of chess
Football play call is a lot like playing chess where coaches try to out-scheme their opponents. Pete is average at best in that aspect. But what is really maddening is that he does not understand the crucial difference: in chess a rook is a rook, a knight is a knight, but in football, one WR/RB is not the same as the other WR/RB. But he plays whatever scheme without consideration of the personnels -- thus Pleasant at wildcat, Opera Singer at crucial downs ... On top of that, his play calls were shit a lot of the time anyways, FTG.

Petes motion offense system SAYS its designed to create mismatches across the defense while helping the QB understand the base the opposing defense is in.
BUT
Petes overall coaching philosophy is an extremist fundamentalist salafist view of "next man up" where he treats all the players the same if they play the same position regardless of actual ability.
Its why ross gets moved to CB for a year, Dissly dawg doesnt get used, Browning is QB foreve....
Its the reason why the offense can have a decent OL, Ahmed, Bryant, Otton, and now Puka and still struggle to create matchups especially on important downs because Pete views Puka = Opera singer because he is only seeing "WR".
