Tonight's long awaited cataclysm has me feeling extra doogy. This year's going to be fun and I firmly believe we break through the "Cant win a big game" and "Can't win a big bowel game" stigmas over the next couple of seasons.

But 2022 is setting up to just be insane.

Check out this potential lineup. Obviously all these guys won't be starting because some of them will be beaten out by others who are also insanely talented. But this would be our most talented team ever on paper rather easily, and a team that, with our coaching staff, will bring home a natty.

Cook it!

QB Sam Huard so
RB Cam Davis rs jr/Sam Adams jr
WR Jalen McMillan jr
WR Emeka Egbuka so (OR Rome Odunze jr OR Troy Franklin so Or Puka Nacua sr [but I have him going pro after 2021])
TE Mark Redman jr (OR Devan Culp sr OR Moliki Matavao)
LT Roger Rosengarten jr
LG Troy Fautanu rs jr
C Myles Murao jr
RG Geirean Hatchett jr
RT Gaard Memelaar jr

Defense

NT Sa'ama Palma sr/rs jr (Tuitele, Tuli and Taimani in the NFL by then)
DT JT Tuimoloau so (OR Bandes if JTT has grown to the NT spot)
BUCK Sa'Vell Smalls jr (Latu already in the in the NFL)
SAM Jordan Banks jr
ILB Daniel Heimuli sr OR Julien Simon so
ILB Will Latu so
CB Jacobe Covington jr (Dom and Kyler in the NFL)
CB James Smith jr (probably will be beaten out by somebody from 2020 or 2021 class)
Nickel Trent McDuffie sr
FS Julius Irvin rs sr (Cam Williams in the NFL)
SS Asa Turner sr

That projected lineup includes two 2020 kids who aren't committed yet (Smalls and Banks) and two 2021 kids who aren't committed yet (Egbuka, JTT)

Half these guys probably don't end up starting because somebody else will emerge or outplay them or we'll get some megastud in a future class who will pass them.

But ho. lee. shit. the talent coming in is chinsane.

Some of those guys like McDuffie may be in NFL.

Don't forget that Browning may petition to come back for another year.

And there will be some true sophs or even frosh that may be too good to keep off the field.

I mean, how about Kingsley Sumataia? He may be too good by then ...

What part of "Half these guys probably don't end up starting because somebody else will emerge or outplay them or we'll get some megastud in a future class who will pass them" didn't you understand?
    I don't care about that!

Address the Browning rumors of him petitioning for his amateur status back - that's what keeps me awake at night!

I think we need to thank Sark for getting us to the point where we can get guys like this again. He took the job when no other coach would and brought us back to respectability. I'd argue his job was more impressive than the job Petersen has done as the cupboard was truly stocked when the latter arrived. Thank you Sark and good luck.
