Don’t worry you about to have a kid you will get plenty of sizzle in your lifeSwaye said:Weird year. Glad we kept the class together, but sort of nonplussed that it looks like our two best late targets (Xavier and Yary) are telling us to fuck off. Was nice to get Covington back. Meh. Kind of a fizzle ending here but the class looks pretty good to me overall. Wish we had one or two more impact guys on D. Any chance on Princely?

I feel the same. Both Carlton and Yary would have been great gets. I was already dreaming of Redman and Yary crushing the edge in the run game like Dissly and Sample.Swaye said:Weird year. Carlton is a stud and would have been a nice addition to the DL, especially considering we don’t have any players with his body type. -
So we’re just waving the white flag on Yary cause he didn’t commit on his visit?
Maybe he’s waiting till we actually name an OC. I would. -
This is actually a damn good class considering the year we had AND Pete stepping down. It could have been better but all things considered I'm happySwaye said:Weird year. I hope so. I look at the pics of him and his family and I just don't see them as "Oregon" types. I think his dad sees through all that bullshit and also views Oregon as a step up from a JC academically. Just my gut feeling.Beno4Life said:So we’re just waving the white flag on Yary cause he didn’t commit on his visit?

If we won the Pac12 and Pete didn't step down, we may have gotten Yary, Carlton, and/or Fillinger and all of them were 50% chance at best anyways. We still have a shot at Yary and fortunately we've loaded on the DL the last couple years. The more I think about it, recruiting wise the timing was perfect for Lake to step in with the '20 class wrapped up and the monster '21 class coming up.BeerThirty said:

Some doogs just don’t have perspective. Finishing in top 15 with a 7-5 record is amazing.BeerThirty said:

I said this in a group text thread with some buddies, but I think the timing of Lake’s ascension couldn’t be better.
With Whoregon recruiting at an elite level and doin everything necessary, I think Pete realized what he would have to do to keep pace and level up, and it just wasn’t authentic to him, among other things like firing his buddy Bob and protege Bush.
Now, Jimmy PJ Lake is posing for photos on recruiting visits, allowing his assistants to post photos of him popping out of private jets, and updating the WOOF signal.
I hope he can surprise us over the next few months with a Yary or someone once he names Bush’s and Gregory’s and PooPao’s successors. -
His dad knows about the bullshit in recruiting. None of these visits will actually impress him. He’s not a parent that will get swallowed up in the glitz and glam of recruiting visits.BeerThirty said:
