Not exactly news but 2021 should be a tier of recruiting unbeknownst in these parts heretofore. I'm going to put my cristoball in for a top 5 class and fourth or fifth might be disappointing. The possibilities are just chinsane. I know we all knows this but have you really realized how chinsane lately?
(Warning, I'm using Composite Rankings because it's early and the composite does the best job of balancing out outliers this early on, and because I can get away with it. Hi
@Swaye! xoxoxoxo
5 Stars we have
Sam Huard. #6 overall. Pete's highest ranked commit to date by nearly 50 composite points [Budda Baker - 53])
5 stars we are the favorites forJT Tuimoloau. #1 overall. Highest ranked player out of the state of Washington ever. He can go anywhere but it would be a surprise if he went anywhere else.
Emeka Egbuka. #7 overall. Most important receiver recruit since Reggie Williams and Junior Adams is on fire. Rated as an athlete oddly but everyone agrees he's playing receiver.
Hit on the three in state five stars and you already have a legendary class. And we're just getting started.
5 stars we are in serious contention for
Korey Foreman. #5 overall. Only including him here for LMC and his protege BTP. Buck recruit from Cali. Not coming here, butt fun to dream.
Troy Franklin. #12 overall. Cali receiver, ranked as the #1 receiver in the country. Loves us. Loves Jalen McMillan. Loves Daniel Heimuli and Noah Ngalu. We have to get through the negative recruiting nexus with him, but I'm not real far from crystoballing him here. I think we get him.
High four stars we are the favorites for
#53 Moliki Matavao. PaoPao might be emerging as a recruiter after all this tim. Gonna be a fight here but we are the only school with a cristoball in for him.
#56 Julien Simon. We offered late but he obviously wanted the offer badly. Family loves UW. I think we're getting him. I would guess he drops some in the rankings but will still be a top 100-150 kid at worst.
#88 Keith Brown. Oregon has the cristoballz but we are getting him.
Strong four stars we are the favorites for#140 Ethan Calvert. Expect a woof soon.
#196 Owen Prentice. There's the small formality of we haven't offered yet, and having offers out already to three 2022 in state OL can't thrill him, but come on. If Huff wants him he'll get him. It says here he'll want him.
#207 Jabez Tinae. Like with Prentice we have to offer still. Butt you have to think they'll want to give Sam at least one of his security blankets, and Tinae's the most likely one. And if we offer he'll come here.
#224 Will Latu. He's already tweeted his commitment. He busted his butt in class in order to get this offer. He's going to take it.
High 4 stars we are in serious contention for#39 Beaux Collins
#69 Kingsley
Ah You Suamataia. Poly. Ah You. OL. Oregon is seen as the mild favorite right now but he's coming here, we all know it.
#177 Steven Ortiz. FSP.
To summarize:
We are getting 1 five star minimum, probably three and have a really good shot at four.
We are the clear favorites for no less than 7 other four stars, with four of them being in state, one being a brother of a current player, and one being cristoballed here. Keith Brown is the only one that is really dooging to list us as the favorite for.
Then there's Kingsley and Ortiz who we could easily be listed as the favorites for.
There are of course plenty of other west coast 4 star or better players we haven't offered/really started recruiting yet who could emerge as we go. This includes no defensive linemen after JTT which we'll certainly need at least another one of by 2021 and barely any DB's, just Ortiz and maybe Latu if he sticks at safety. So that's two of our four stud recruiters not even represented here. You know Milloe and Lake are going to bring in talent.
We're probably looking at at least 3 5 stars, and 12 four stars in the class. Any three stars we take will be because we truly believe they are better than the four stars or because they are a RB.
And on top of that we shouldn't need any specialists with kicker in 2019 year and punter and LS likely in 2020 so they won't be dragging the average down.
Top 5 class in 2021. At minimum.
Pete's going to have to get comfortable with the hype.
It's coming.

We’ll offer Lonyatta he’s a fucking stud.
1. Positional. Smalls plays what is without question the position we have struggled to recruit the most. Huard's already committed. JTT plays arguably our strongest recruiting position. And Egbuka plays a position we have just massively upgraded our ability to recruit.
2. Demographical. Let's just say no one has ever posted dramatic rants about our struggles to recruit Polys or Africans.
3. Huard. Sam changes the game for 2021. Instead of hoping and praying we can finally convince an in state five star to get on bored, we finally have one. Sam takes the pressure off, and makes it must easier for JTT and Egbuka to sign up. They don't have to carry the hometown pressure all by themselves. They have a star QB to do that.
For these reasons and others I'll be very surprised if we lose either of these guys like we lost Smalls. (And I haven't given up hope yet on SS but it's dwindling.)
Like I said, they're going to give Sam a security blanket.
Tinae just isn’t that good.
Lonyatta is.
