Military industrial complex update

RaceBannonRaceBannon Member, Swaye's Wigwam Posts: 105,807 Founders Club

“Well, I’m the one that talks about these wars that are 19 years, and people are just there, and don’t kid yourself, you do have a military-industrial complex. They do like war. You know, in Syria, with the caliphate, so I wipe out 100 percent of the caliphate. … I said I want to bring our troops back home. The place went crazy. You have people here in Washington, they never want to leave,” Trump said.

“I said, you know what I’ll do, I’ll leave a couple hundred soldiers behind, but if it was up to them, they‘d bring thousands of soldiers in. Someday people will explain it, but you do have a group, and they call it the military-industrial complex. They never want to leave. They always want to fight,” he continued.

“No. I don’t want to fight, but you do have situations like Iran. You can’t let them have nuclear weapons. You just can’t let that happen,” Trump concluded.

Did he say it was a documented fact that Trump met with the Russians in order to get Hillary and the DNC's emails?

A Kunt that spews as much lies and bullshit as you do Hondo should really learn how to shut your fucking mouth.

The Shah of Iran could counter with "The Taliban and I shared a belly laugh in the media room over this tweet"

I’m fine with Trump ditching the neocon nation building. It doesn’t work.

Kennedy ran for President claiming there was a missile gap and promising to spend more money on defense. Kennedy's supposed hostility to the growing conflict in Vietnam is Oliver Stone revisionist history. He was a hawk and fully committed to fighting the Commies in Vietnam, thus his green lighting the assassination of Diem.

April 5: Asked if he knew about the $130,000 hush-money payment to Stormy Daniels, Trump says “no.” Asked if he knew where lawyer Michael Cohen got the money, Trump says “no.” Trump is later forced to admit he was the one who reimbursed Cohen for the payment.

June 20: Trump says that Republicans “applauded and laughed loudly” when he insulted congressman Mark Sanford at a party meeting. Three Republicans at the meeting told the Washington Post that nobody responded that way. “There was absolutely no applause,” said Rep. Raul R. Labrador. “Silence,” said Rep. Mark Amodei.

Aug. 5: Trump tweets that “California wildfires are being magnified & made so much worse” by the state’s policy of diverting water into the Pacific Ocean. California firefighters reported that they do not have a water problem. Water experts noted that the water naturally flows into the Pacific Ocean.

Oct. 23: Trump boasts about his tariffs to the Wall Street Journal — then, when pressed about their negative consequences, says they don’t exist. “I didn’t put tariffs,” he says. “Where do we have tariffs? We don’t have tariffs anywhere.”

Jan. 19, 2019: On the last day of his second year, Trump says “mainstream media has truly lost its credibility” … then lies that “the New York Times apologized after the election for their bad coverage and their faulty coverage,” which never happened.

I really think we are going to find out in 10 years that there was collusion. It was classified top secret for the risk of national upheaval due to a large group of Trump's constituents being unable to accept that reality peacefully.

And yet he sent more troops to Afghanistan to keep fighting a losing war, is trying regime change in Venezuela, and is doing his best to escalate a war with Iran.

And he’s fucking up the North Korea negotiations because his hawkish advisors have their heads up their ass.

And he’s increased the military budget by tens of billions each year.

He’s a dove on Syria but that doesn’t excuse him from this other dogshit.
