In 2016, UW is undefeated, ranked number 4, and preparing to play a 6-3 USC squad at home.
UW, like a third rate program, decides it needs the black uni placebo affect (players tackle 10% harder and run 5% faster, sources say) in order to achieve victory.
Instead, UW players realize before halftime that they look like clowns, Browning is having a hard time seeing the black jerseys in a night game, and doesnt even get any help from gold chrome helmets because the fucking helmets are black. UW loses like the loser program it has become, loses a chance to be the #2 seed in the playoffs, and loses an opportunity to play Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl (let me take creative liberty here, it probably would've been Clemson).
We all know how Clemson vs Ohio State went, so we can safely assume UW beats Ohio State. We all know the Clemson won the title, so Clemson beats Bama to face undefeated UW.
Everyone knows UW would have matched up better with Clemson than Bama (Clemson leaned on offense with a meh defense). UW shocks the world and wins the natty in Tampa.
This is the cost of black uniforms, Jen. Maybe in 2012 they gave us an edge vs Stanford in Century Link, but in 2019 UW is at a stage where it doesnt need gimmicks. Purple and gold every week with Adidas or GTFO.
