You're confusing the reactions you get in the Tug, which have their own history as you know better than I, with how people really feel about Trump. Most here don't find him personally appealing because he's kind of a douche bag. But there are things more important to the future of the union than the personal habits of an delicately-ego'd man, of which there are many.2001400ex said:
So let me get this straight. You see an issue with the DNC working with MSNBC. Ok cool, I'm down with that. Do you see any issue with Trump working with Fox news? Why don't you post about big problems when Trump tweets about Fox and tweets their fake news stories?GrundleStiltzkin said:

I have heard and read people far smarter than I say, with great conviction, that the thing that distinguishes the United States from the rest of the world ... that which makes this country great ... is not anything in the air or anything inherent in the genes of the people who came here or anything to do with the divine. It's none of those things. It's that the rule of law applies here, and even though money and other circumstances give some people an unfair advantage, and even though it's imperfect and injustice sometimes can and will occur, the thing that matters is that, when shit sees the light of day in our society, we don't look the other way. As a people, we have a tradition of fairness and we hold that up over everything else.
So when something stinks, we seek out what it is, and we dispatch with it when we find it. THAT, is that makes this place great. The Brits would never hang a member of the Royal Family ... not without force. But we will hang even a sitting president w/o a coup. That's what makes the US a great country. It's what makes our markets great, too, btw. Trade in the public markets on inside information, and I don't care how many billions you have, if the SEC or FINRA catch you, the DOJ will be knocking on your door.

@AllahPundit, right, firstAh well. This is destined for whataboutist treatment from lefties noting how Trump and Fox News work hand-in-glove. The best-case scenario for Linzer, assuming this is all true (she and NBC have no comment as of 3:20 ET), is that she really was looking out for her network and merely using the DNC as a fig leaf in trying to convince Ali to hold off on publishing. Obviously he wouldn’t have held back his scoop in order to let MSNBC have it first — but if Linzer had persuaded him to wait just an hour to give the DNC time to talk to its state people, then she might have turned around and had MSNBC rush the news onto the air to beat him to the punch. That would have been unethical too, but at least it wouldn’t have involved her shilling for the left’s party. -
Is it ok to agree that both sides are fucked up and in bed with their side of the media? That's the only point in trying to make.GrundleStiltzkin said:2001400ex said:
