It was surprising for Mitchell because he's generally been thought of as having limited straight-line speed. And while a 4.4 isn't going to put him on the all-time list soon, it's still a fast time notwithstanding your bullshit and eliminates that concern about him. N'Keal Harry was ASU's (and the conference's) best receiver and he ran in the mid to high 4.5s. What does being the best receiver have to do with expected 40 times dufus? Nada. Lake said Murphy had the best on field workouts of any DB and that it wasn't really close. Also mentioned that Rapp is the smartest player he's ever coached and should be a first round pick. Lastly, said that Miller had a disappointing workout and that he's run sub 4.4 before and expected him to be faster. Said he's still recovering from his dislocated ankle and broken leg and had a rough season, but expects him to have a better pro day with another month to train. Expects him to be a good pro.
After three UW DBs were taken in the 2nd round the same year, the next group of UW DBs are likely to have two 1st round picks and then another taken on day 3, and a fourth maybe making it in the last round or UDFA.
And Lake said the new guys are more talented than ever but the only thing they're missing is experience. It's fucking fun to see this shit. -
