Soso Jamabo/Chris Warren BIG BACKS from Texas (but actually highly rated)
Almost missed on Gaskin, had to steal him from WSU at the end of the cycle? -

I think you are thinking of Sankey and Brandon Bigelow who we lost to Cal. -

The idea that somehow every big guy runs like Earl Campbell is FS. Most big guys are worse in short yardage because the don't move super quickly and are big targets.Neighbor2972 said:At 190 Gaskin was the best short yardage back in the country, you do not 'need' a powerback

You don't make multiple trips up from Texas, much less Waco, unless you have a pretty damn good idea of where you're going.Domicillo said:
Sounds like we better get used to it. Already planning a return trip when his coaches visit UW again this spring. He said he’s running track this spring, but isn’t planning on attending any of the football combines anymore. A kid of his recruiting status already deciding to shutdown going through the recruiting camps and regionals where most kids make a jump in their exposure and offers, has already made a decision on where he’s going.
I probably need to watch his film a little more but from what I recall he seemed just a tad raw but had that little something in terms of being able to run away from people that you wouldn't expect.
Before saying "oh, what about his competition" ... Waco's far from a bad area when it comes to HS football ... there are some athletes in that region.
What it tells me is that you probably have a kid that realizes that Waco sucks (it really, really sucks) and is interested in leaving Texas.
If we get Sunday and Adams in this class, I wouldn't be that unhappy. Although to a point that @LaMichael_Corleone and @Dennis_DeYoung would happily make ... the fact that we haven't really gained any traction with the top RBs in the West is still a massive area of concern. -
So he has elite power... does he have speed comparable too my favorite end of game dancer- Coleman?HuskyClaws said: -

Once upon a time we had a Texas LB committed who was strong as fuck, hit like a truck, but looked slow on film. Sunday might be the RB version Nick Bolton.LaMichael_Corleone said:This kid would be a great linebacker.
The difference is that RBs can be used situationally a lot more effectively than any defensive player can -
Nick Bolton has 8 tackles against Bammer. I would take him over Kyler Manu or the white walk on brigade we had playing at times this year.NEsnake12 said:

Drew Folwer could go make 8 tackles against Bama if all he had to do was tackle RBs 10 yards downfield. Citing tackles as a reason some LB is good or not is FSEdwin_Bambino said:

This kid is posting #DAWG in his tweets......
I will say this, I think he’ll be really good FOR UDUB and could see him as an upgraded Lavon.
That being said, this is the most puzzling recruiting thing angle I’ve seen because at least Dick Newton was in a shitty year of RB’s. Literally everything bad about this kid is what’s good about Bijan Robinson and this kid is barely taller than Pete so they’re the same size. Matteo Mele was the best OL when Bijan had his breakout 2k hard sophomore season, Lathan Ransom is there now so THE Jimmy Lake is sure to take some schools visits, and even the weakness of Sunday being from Waco, the complete opposite of a pipeline, Arizona is absolutely amazing this year and just saw us turn their only recruit to leave the state in their best recruiting year, become a 1st round pick. Yet here we are, at the point where I hope we start telling SAM Adams to tell the media we’re recruiting him on defense so that we can take Sunday AND Bijan or even Ngata for that matter.
Sunday would be awesome as a late signing period guy if we missed on Jalen John and Ngata. This just gives off nothing but bad bad bad and I still think he’s gonna be good. It’s almsot like Salvon being the complete opposite of this kid, (quick footed, fast, complete enough to see time at slot WR, but sometimes looks for the home run too much and tries to be overly patient) kinda scared them into getting a kid who’s never heard of patience and runs through first contact with lean and acceleration through. -
I agree with most all your points but who really cares about his height? 5’11” is pretty much optimal for a RB when you look around the league.LaMichael_Corleone said:This kid is posting #DAWG in his tweets......

I'm in a rock and hard place here...
One one hand, getting 3-star backs who appear slow-footed out of Texas is antithetical to everything I believe about recruiting.
On the other hand it's our only fucking chance to get a kid named Jay'Veon.
Fuck it, gonna have to go with Jay'Veon. -

Duh. That’s my point exactly because a lot of people were saying we’re taking him because of his size and saying it’s hard to find a BIG back and that’s why he’d be prioritized right now over Bijan.FKA_Mousecop said:
