Honestly this is why you guys don’t coach. The punt was the right call. Was the 4th and 8 a low percentage play? Yes, and if they failed game over. Is the punt a low percentage win play? Absolutely. But overall it gives you a slightly better chance to win.

You needed a 3-and-out either way. If they missed the conversion OSU gets a FG and you're still down two possessions. Game is only over if you give up the TD.
