I don’t agree that it’s exploitation of workers though. And neither does Cato. The workers are magnitudes better off than their prior situation. Win win and free markets lifting people out of grinding poverty and creating wealth.RaceBannon said:

It is exploitation
We caught a Ukrainian tile setter running a company store out of his basement basically using illegal Ukes like slaves
And it does fuck American workers. Own it
It creates more wealth for the wealthy -
Like I said, it's bulshit!SFGbob said:
Do you consider Social Security to be welfare Hondo? How about Medicare? Cato counts them as Welfare programs in order to make that claim work. Nice work dipshit.2001400ex said:

There are nearly 45 million people now living in the US that weren't born here. Many of these people come from shit-hole counties where they want and expect the government to give them shit. The numbers I posted last week show that nearly 70% of their households are on some form of welfare.
We've imported millions of people who now expect the government to give them free shit. Couple that with the already existing parasite class in this country and you have the reason why demographically the Republicans are fucked.
We've made massive changes demographically to states like California in the past 25 years, Republicans will never win this state again.
Overall, immigrants are less likely to consume welfare benefits and, when they do, they generally consume a lower dollar value of benefits than native-born Americans. Immigrants who meet the eligibility thresholds of age for the entitlement programs or poverty for the means-tested welfare programs generally have lower use rates and consume a lower dollar value relative to native-born Americans.
