Gaines moving up to a late second round to third round pick range with this Senior bowl performance.
My UW draft order prediction:
Byron Murphy: Top 10, Round 1 Taylor Rapp: Top 15-25 range, Round 1 Kaleb McGary: Top 25-32 range, Round 1 Greg Gaines: Round 2-3 range Drew Sample: Round 4-5 range

Yeah well I'm not gonna start another long debate about Gaskin. I love him and I respect him as a Husky. He was a great college player but the dude is tiny. NFL scouts will see him in person and take him off the board. Likely UDFA IMO.

Gaines is good and he definitely helped himself at the Senior Bowl, but this is a really deep DT class. I'd be shocked if he goes before the 4th.
MMFG will definitely be drafted. His size isn't that big a deal. Lindsay's Pro Bowl season helps him. He might have to wait until day 3 though. Probably a 4th-5th round guy like Gaines.

You are so wrong on rapp. All the NFL cares about is measurables. They want the guys that best fit their expectations. Rapp is just to small to be a first round pick when their are so many other good enough safeties that fit that 6'2+ 220lb size they want. NFL doesn't care if Rapp is a player when he doesnt measure up.
Gaines will be a huge late round steal for someone. They'll overanalyze his measurements as draft day nears and he'll end up in rounds 4-6 in spite of his game film and workouts impressing everyone.
Sample is really unlucky. I can't recall so many good underclassmen TEs ever declaring for the same draft. Foster Moreau and Day Raymond also reportedly did well at the Senior Bowl. Really not sure where that puts him.

I’m sure New England could find some place in the gameplan

What the fuck are you talking about? You are so stupid. Rapp is prototypical NFL safety size. He's 6'0 205. Do you realize that at 5-10 190 Budda Baker was selected four spots outside of the first round? Earl Thomas is smaller than Rapp. Eric Berry is smaller than Rapp. Ed Reed was smaller than Rapp. Rapp isn't a big safety but by no means is he "small". Do you have some preconceived notion of him being smaller than he actually is because he's half Asian?

Sample with a nice catch off of play action going across the field. Ball thrown behind and he spun around to catch it low and away from his body then pulled it in before he hit the ground.
Among all defensive linemen, Pro Football Focus noted that Gaines had the highest “win rate” during one-on-one drills. Gaines reportedly met with representatives from the Cowboys and Eagles this week.
“If teams are looking for that ‘short daddy’ defensive tackle, Greg Gaines from Washington is your guy,” Bryan Broaddus wrote for DallasCowboys.com. “At 6-1 309, he is nothing special physically, but during these drills I came away impressed with his ability to play off the block with his hands and get on the quarterback.”
We? are so used to Gaines eating up double teams and collapsing the pocket from the center, but one on one he destroys people.
Rob Rang of NFLDraftScout.com said McGary was one of the notable players on the North squad this week.
“McGary … was so impressive at right tackle that the Raiders moved him to the left side for a few snaps on Wednesday,” Rang wrote. “All 46 of his starts the past four seasons with the Huskies came at right tackle but he does have some experience playing on the left, moving to the blindside on some short yardage plays over the years. He won each of his snaps at left tackle Thursday, cementing his stock as the top offensive lineman on the North squad.”
A guy who has only played RT in his career won EVERY SNAP his first chance at LT in an all-star game.
After Will Dissly’s early success as a rookie with the Seahawks, Sample looks like a sure bet as the Huskies’ next two-way tight end in the NFL.
“Drew Sample was the only TE or RB to look comfortable in pass protection drills,” wrote Jake Schyvinck of Cover32.com. “He kept LBs/safeties from getting inside and drove them out wide. Looked solid in the passing game as well (good hands, strong at the catch point).”
Dissly Dawg, Sample, Cade.... all these guys being churned out will have great NFL careers because they are some of the only college players who enjoy pass pro and are good at it. But then everyone is stunned when they find out they have hands as well, and Browning just never used them as relief valves or threats up the seam (he couldn't make that throw anyway).

Greg Fucking Gaines
I bet scouts had no clue he could catch.
