The next steps in the Big Picture

We know the ceiling of the current group of players is capped by the QB. But the past month has been very good for the program’s future:

-Won the conference, 2nd in 3 years, 3 straight big time bowls, finally getting back to the Rose
-Huard committed
-Helton stayed at USC (and Swann is still in charge)

The next big step, at least to me, is to win this fucking game.
If we don’t, we’re going to get a narrative as a program that can’t win games that matter. Playing Bama, PSU and tOSU/Mich three years in a row is big time, but you can’t be the fish at the big boy CFB poker table.

We have a nice little window coming up. Stacking recruiting classes and significantly better QB play. USC is a mess. Oregon looks better than when they had Taggart but not a real threat and Shaw has regressed a bit from his peak. Chipper might be a threat eventually but overall the PAC window is wide open for us.

Lake sticking around is critical. We have to get our marketing and stadium experience back to the way it should be. Winning this Rose Bowl helps enable those. We need all of that to get the recruits required to compete at a national level and get to where we all expect to be.

Win the fucking Rose Bowl and pop off!
