But, with the rankings out, they're #13 with virtually no shot. Pretty much the only way they'd go is if the committee thought Wazzu would be a better draw nationally than Penn State, Florida, or LSU.

They would but Utah would still go to the Rose Bowl, eliminating one of the NY6 slots. Unless the committee has a change of heart and moves them ahead of Florida, Penn State, or LSU they are frozen out of the NY6. They're going to the Alamo and getting plungered by WVU.

WSU is actually getting a lot of neutral outrage all over the Internet. And the committee is not immune to that.

It would be unprecedented but if all results go as expected this week and the committee succumbs to pressure they might slot us above Penn State, Florida or LSU.

Again, the only shot I see here is this:

- UW smashes Utah. Like demolishes them by 4+ TDs. Shows they are big dogs and a good team at the right time and makes our loss better.

- The committee succumbs to the media pressure. Reddit is going nuts that Penn State, LSU and Florida are ranked higher than us. We need Bleacher Report, ESPN, Sports Illustrated, USA Today, Fox, CBS, etc to all join that outrage to put pressure on the committee.

I'm pretty torn. As funny as it would be to see them get left out after their dream season, I'd love to watch them get smashed again against another real defense.

Texas, ranked behind Cuog, also leaps ahead if they win or OU finishes top 4 (cause Sugar contracted to B12 if champ goes to playoff).

Cuog needs to be ahead of LSU or Florida to go, or leap Penn State and have OU win but finish outside the top 4.

In other words, Cuog is fucked and going to San Antonio.
