But, with the rankings out, they're #13 with virtually no shot. Pretty much the only way they'd go is if the committee thought Wazzu would be a better draw nationally than Penn State, Florida, or LSU.

They would but Utah would still go to the Rose Bowl, eliminating one of the NY6 slots. Unless the committee has a change of heart and moves them ahead of Florida, Penn State, or LSU they are frozen out of the NY6. WSU is actually getting a lot of neutral outrage all over the Internet. And the committee is not immune to that.
It would be unprecedented but if all results go as expected this week and the committee succumbs to pressure they might slot us above Penn State, Florida or LSU.
Again, the only shot I see here is this:
- UW smashes Utah. Like demolishes them by 4+ TDs. Shows they are big dogs and a good team at the right time and makes our loss better.
- The committee succumbs to the media pressure. Reddit is going nuts that Penn State, LSU and Florida are ranked higher than us. We need Bleacher Report, ESPN, Sports Illustrated, USA Today, Fox, CBS, etc to all join that outrage to put pressure on the committee.
