The controversial non-targering call in the WSU vs USC game would play a large role in WSU not making the CFP. This could lead to Larry Scott being fired.

The only way Larry Scott gets fired is if the financial health of the conference flatlines or he does something so horrible that it causes a PR nightmare for the member schools. He won’t get fired over the results of one Apple Cup game.

Nobody gives a fuck about WSU in the conference. Do you really think the egos of the other university presidents would go out on a limb and fire the guy they hired and then gave a ridiculous raise to?
