Jacob Eason

Meh.
Played 8 SEC games. Went 4-4. The 4 SEC wins came against teams with a combined 25-26 record.
50% completion rate. 136/271
Threw 34 times per game. Had 9 TDs in 8 games.
Number like that for a UW QB would get him killed here.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution said the best memory UGA fans have of Eason is how well he handled being benched. Ouch.
I’m not saying Eason can’t be a great college QB. He wasn’t terrible as a freshman. I’m saying he’s done little to earn the level of optimism fans have. Maybe he wins the spot next year, and maybe he performs great and heads to the NFL. But if he does it will represent a massive improvement, which would be kind of amazing after two years of not playing.

UGA that year was like Washington in 2015...critical peices got experience which led to a huge run.
Difference being that unlike Washington playing in a powder soft conference (fucking Colorado won the South...), Georgia was playing in the SEC. Not as forgiving. And Eason has the arm strength Browning can only dream of. Is Eason a guaranteed Heisman contender? No, but he should be solid.
All that said Pete start Haener out of OKG process spite and Eason grad transfers to WSU -

Coker said to me a month ago - pretty soon we will start seeing Doogs bash Eason to prop up Jake.
Lo and behold... this crops up.
Doogs are consistent if nothing else. There is nothing they won't tear down to try to make the case for someone who sucks. -

My impression...he was young I thought thrown straight into the fire tbh. Starting at that level in his first year in this league is Hard to say the least.
He made many mistakes but also was pretty impressive for his time there. Arm strength was off the charts. Mobility? Ehh
Thought he would be a helluva qb by year 3 or even 4 there with experience. -

Eason got hurt. Fromm did great stepping up but Eason won the job to start obviously.
GA is loaded. They have someone breathing down Fromms back right now. No fault to Eason caus he had an injury. Unlike Hurts from Bama, Eason chose to leave. IMO he will be OK. -
Dawgman? UWDP? Ruth?

I'm hearing that Washington in 2015 was like UGA in 2016.
But you never know, things could change. -

My biggest fear with Eason is he is Josh Rosen 2.0

He's got chincredible arm talent. That didn't translate to on field performance as a true frosh. The hope clearly is that he's developed significantly last year and this preparing for next.
His upside is sky high. I'm not at all convinced he's winning the job though. -

A Jake Browning post on Facebook?
An internal UWAD email?
Bait from you to snare some doogs on this bored? -
I'm all for tempering the Eason hype until he actually does something, but I don't think him coming out and having a breakout RS junior season will be at all "amazing" or really even that surprising. It'll just be him living up to his potential.Dennis_DeYoung said:But if he does it will represent a massive improvement, which would be kind of amazing after two years of not playing.

Why would that be a bad thing? We would be incredible if we had a QB like Rosen.Doogles said:My biggest fear with Eason is he is Josh Rosen 2.0

The facebook Doog-laden group 'Husky Nation'.
If you believe this about Eason you are a fucking fucktard.
Rosen 2.0? Christ. Rosen 2.0 worries you? You are worried about Josh Rosen in the hands of Chris Petersen?
Seriously everyone here that thinks Skinny is not good is a complete fucking moron.
But the Boobsian retard logic always goes 'he's talented, therefore to protect my ego as a Husky fan I have to start saying he's not good because a) he's not coming here and b) embracing the idea that talent is important hurts my little puny, white self.'
Remember when people on this bored (Doogs and retards) were saying that 1) Skinny wasn't coming here or (much more retarded, but also more popular here) that 2) Pete wouldn't want him.
God you guys are fucking idiots when it comes to this shit.
And the reason that you morons have these beliefs -- and the reason why you fucktards were slow to come around on the fact that Browning is a fucking assmunch -- is because ultimately half of you want to believe the Doog narratives. TALENT DOESN'T MATTER! IT'S ALL HEART AND GRIT!!!
God you guys are fucking idiots. The shit with Jake Sirmon (who immediately rear-view mirrored Yankoff) was exactly the same. You're all fucking emotional. Yankoff could end up being better than Sirmon but any idiot with ANY fucking perspective knew that Yankoff was not NEARLY as developed as a QB and so the idea that some here touted - that Yankoff would get early playing time - lololol you guys are fucking know-nothing morons.
Such morons that you say you fear Josh Rosen playing under Chris Petersen. Everyone here should fucking delete their accounts. -
