I fucking hate this obsession with the playoff. We are never ever going to win a Natty with a Jake at QB. Going back to Georgia just to get slaughtered by Bama is pointless.
How about this team just establish themselves as the best in their own conference first (something they have only won 1 time in the last decade and a half).
On top of that it isn't even true. It's fucking week 1.

The entire nation could not wait to shit on the Pac-12 after the 1-8 bowl record last season because the ACC and Big12 are not better leagues but they want to think they are. The Big 12 is a one team conference with Oklahoma right now. Oklahoma State isn't who they were with Mason Rudolph. The ACC is a two team conference now that Louisville sucks again (Clemson/Miami).
The Pac-12 will have at least four top-25 teams this season in UW, USC, Stanford, and Utah. UW and Stanford in particular look very strong. Stanford always starts the season a bit slow but once they get rolling they'll be really good. UW will get better as well.
If UW wins out they're easily in the playoffs. (Not saying that's what I want to happen because we don't want Bama with Browning but that's what will happen).
If not and they lose again then yes, the Rose Bowl is their best post season option. -
UW wins out and makes the playoffs if Furd or SC beats Notre Dame rather easily. Needs to happen

Ohio State would have likely lost to Darnold as well.
UW sucks, but not shutout by Clemson sucks. The AP and coaches poll agrees...both UW and SC ranked higher than tOSU.
