Rap Battle 00's Bracket Round 1: Jay Z (2) vs Three Six Mafia (15)
The Aint No Nigga video was my introduction to Jay Z. I thought he looked like he had a touch of the downs. It never crossed my mind this was a dude who was going to dominate the game for the better part of a decade. But then I've never fully understood the NYC scene.
Hova would go on to make a bunch of songs I did like, a few I loved. Dirt Off Your Shoulder, Give It To Me and 99 Problems were good. Can I Get A was great. His collaboration with Linkin Park was surprisingly good.
I still think Beyonce could have done better than Z, but that's a different thread.

DJ Paul, Juicy J, Lord Infamous and the crew have been around a long time and put together some good shit. I first heard sippin on some sizzurp one night closing up at Taco Bell and I was hooked. At that point I had no clue that lean was even a thing.
Three Six gets extra points for a name that makes white people think their satanists.
