PM to #mybush: The offensive lineup that could beat Auburn HS.
LG Wattenberg
C Harris
RG Bainivalu
RT McGary
WTE Sample*
BTE Bryant**
SE Jones
FL Ahmed***
RB Gaskin
QB ___________****
* Spend most of the game in Ace personnel, running >65%, with most throws coming off play-action, to set up 3rd&makables. Also deploy Kizer liberally as a 3TE on 3rd&shorts.
** Bryant needs to be the leading receiver. Motion him all over the field.
*** Ahmed needs to be on the field as much as possible: Motioning, running routes, in the Wilddoog backfield, etc. He can also spell Gaskin here and there, but Gaskin really needs 25+ touches.
**** In the run-first offense described above, most throws are short routes, coming off play-action, allowing some time to throw. Either Browning or Haener would thrive here.

Is Adams healthy enough to start in Sept?

Why do you hate Chin at receiver?

Will Bain ever play for us?

medical retirement?Quietcowskee said:Will Bain ever play for us?

I’m with most of this but you don’t do a run first offense and then throw short, slow developing passes. If you’re trying to run to set up the pass then you go over the top or at least intermediate, if you want to throw short in a run first offense you have to do quick hitters.TTJ said:LT Adams

First, the line:
LT Roberts (Adams won't be ready - take that to the bank)
LG Wattenberg
C Harris (this is pretty bad, but fuck it)
RG Kirkland (Bainivalu will probably medically retire this summer knowing our luck)
RT McGary
This is a line that can run block. Let's do that with them. Pass blocking will be a joke.
Now, let's look at personnel groupings... we have 5 guys to play with and here's who I think should play...
Here's the lineup we should be in 50% of plays (our most talented line up, easy). We can use Salvon at RB and split Hunter B out if need be.
BTE Bryant
WTE Sample/Kizer/Otton
FL Ahmed/Fuller/Bynum
SE Jones/Cook
RB Gaskin/McGrew
Then because Hunter B will give out if we use him too much, 25%
WTE
FL
SE
Slot Fuller/Bynum/Baccelia
RB
About 10% of
WTE
WTE2 (Warren at FB and WTE2)
SE
FL
RB
About 10% of
WTE
FL
SE
RB1
RB2
And then about 5% of everything else
If we don't play our talented players, we have no shot.
