This was the terrible move they made. Melo offers nothing other than decent shooting.PurpleThrobber said:

This is true, but the team falls off when he’s not on the floor, even with Paul George.BleachedAnusDawg said:

For the most part, the making your teammates better is cliche bullshit. No individual players got better with LeBron. Wade, Love, Bosh, etc. The teams got better because LeBron is the best player.
Russ is really good. He’s just not quite good enough to play his ball dominant game and go deep in the playoffs. The Durant teams were better because they had Durant and the role players were better too. -
Disagree and agree at the same time. Guys like Lebron, Magic and Steve Nash are able to make the guys around them because they put them in the best possible situations to suceed offensively. The leadership they provide for their teams give everyone confidence, thus they play at a higher level.RoadDawg55 said:

But, with Lebron it's different than Nash or Magic. Because he's the best player in the world he elevates the Cavs play. -
This “doesn’t make players around him better” idea being total BS is absolute BS

There are some guys, normally pure PG’s who make others better. Magic, Nash, Kidd, etc. It is mostly bullshit tho.Tequilla said:This “doesn’t make players around him better” idea being total BS is absolute BS
