Another hard matchup for me in the 1960's. Cuntry-rock and roots-rock are my 2 favorite classic rock genres. The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down is some of the best history nerd lyrics in rock. Still...The Beach Boys are the greatest group of try hard, American, suburban whites of all time. I mean they sucked at playing, but boy could they sing.

Dennis gets it. Good Vibrations was the best produced rock single up until that point in time- i.e., Oct. 1966. Better and more advance that anything the Stones or Beatles had yet accomplished.

"The Weight" is epic, amongst the GOAT in this genre.

Debatable as too whether these are their best 2-5 songs, but I'm not getting the hate. I voted Beach Boys, but The Band is good chit to listen too when you're chilling.
