Auburn is a measuring stick game

I don't gaf that it's the first game of the year. We have played 3 games in the last 2 years against teams with a clear talent advantage against us - USC, Pedo State, Bama. Result: 0-3.

Auburn has a clear talent advantage against us. Looked at the last 4 years of recruiting rankings and they finished 9th every year - this year they signed 16 4 stars. 10 4 stars and 1 5 star in 2017. 12 4 stars and 1 5 star in 2016. 19 4 stars and 1 5 star in 2015. They have a top 10 class in each of the last 4 years. The only class we have that even looks comparable to them is this year, and theirs is still better on paper. They are going to have much better talent than we have. This is the only chance in the schedule next year to finally get over the hump and beat one of these type teams.

In Hamdan we trust. In Browning we don't. Run the fucking ball. It's our only hope.

Season either ends week 1 or we roll into P12CG undefeated ranked #2 or #1.

Scheduling Auburn is the best thing UW could have done. Takes big balls, like UO scheduling LSU in 2011 and Auburn in 2019, Ohio State the following year. Win the game and you're an instant early season playoff contender. Lose and it will be a good loss.

Yeah real funny how the sec always gets these "neutral" games in their backyard.
Winners dictate terms. Losers accept the table scraps they're thrown and need to make bread from crumbs.

    Auburn
    2018 ~ 16x 4 stars 0x 5 stars
    2017 ~ 10x 4 stars 1x 5 stars
    2016 ~ 12x 4 stars 1x 5 stars
    2015 ~ 19x 4 stars 1x 5 stars

    Washington
    2018 ~ 9x 4 stars 0x 5 stars
    2017 ~ 9x 4 stars 0x 5 stars
    2016 ~ 7x 4 stars 0x 5 stars
    2015 ~ 5x 4 stars 0x 5 stars

    Difference per year
    2018 ~ 7x 4 stars 0x 5 stars
    2017 ~ 1x 4 stars 1x 5 stars
    2016 ~ 5x 4 stars 1x 5 stars
    2015 ~ 14x 4 stars 1x 5 stars

    Total Difference 27x 4 stars 3x 5 stars

    Thanks. Dick.
Also, it looks even worse when you show it that way. That is a severe talent deficit for our DWAGS!

The SEC barely travels outside of their comfort zone. Tennessee does at times. Georgia played ASU in Tempe about 10 years ago. Auburn played @ USC 15 years ago. A couple teams might play at Oklahomo. LSU played Wisconsin in Green Bay and lost of course. They're basically pussies who play 8 conference games and 3 or 4 OOC cupcakes.

Washington should have insisted on a 1 for 1 or at least a gayme in Dallas or something.

UO scheduled a 1 for 1 with Georgia a few years back but those pussies backed out. You're right, they're pussies. But as long as they sit on the top of the heap, other teams just have to accept what they offer or not play them at all.

We had a sweet neutral game against tamu in Houston.

    It's fucking idiotic.

The deck is stacked against you.

Pac-12 won't get West coast neutral site games until the new NFL stadiums in Vegas and LA are built.

There is a perfectly good NFL stadium 2 hours from Husky stadium.

We’re going get shredded by 21 in the first half, then come back and lose by 3-7.

According to doogs, when Oregon lost to them by 3 it was a total plungering. The same metrics will be applied to the impending UW loss.

Because Oregon was physically dominated. It was still a close game. It’s football. Doesn’t always mean the superior team is going in dry 70-21 style.

No, that's how long it takes to drunkenly speed walk there after tailgating in e1 for a few hours before realizing the game isn't at husky stadium.

Auburn sucks. The only thing that sets them apart is that they are the most boring team in the world. Even their defense is boring. Their best player is the kicker. If even UCF beat them, UW has no fucking excuses.

Agree with you that Auburn is sort of the UCLA of the SEC, all the talent in the world that *usually* under performs. But, as our resident asian says they do put it all together every few years. The talent is there in spades - I'm talking USC type talent. They are loaded. Every fucking year. And with decent QB play they are super dangerous. Especially with our shit QB play.
