A source tells 247Sports that four programs are separating themselves in that race heading into the season -- Alabama, LSU, Ohio State and Oregon.
Oregon, according to sources, has leapfrogged Pac-12 rival Washington as a trip option. Ika visited Eugene and Seattle back-to-back earlier this offseason and the Ducks have continued to prioritize the massive defensive tackle. The Huskies have been pushing to get Ika back on campus for their big recruiting weekend in December.
"If that's true then the world just shifted on its axel. I have a hard time believing that right now based on what I know to be true about this kid. Does he have any quotes from Apu saying this? If not, then I'd take it with a grain.
For one thing, the Huskies haven't been "pushing to get him..Dec 15th", that visit date was locked in months ago and Apu told me -- Oregon is pushing to try to get him out of that visit date. I think Blair's source is an Oregon source. Sounds pretty non-sensical to me. Bottom line, Blair doesn't cover UW and has no clue what's going on with UW recruiting on the inside."

I tend to edit their shit, but sometimes it becomes so overwhelming to make up for their idiocy so I just let it be.
I think I might be alone on this, but of the three top DL targets we have, I think Ika is third on my board. This is solely because Pama, Tuli and Taki are similar-ish versions (quick NT-types that will be great run-stoppers).
I'll be ecstatic for any of them though. This is going to be a DL class for the ages.
Unless YOU have proof in HAND...it’s speculation for YOU. ‘Those who know’....meaning YOU are not a ‘THOSE’. I didn’t create the English language but ‘speculation’ is pretty cut and dry. Unless you are an eye witness, YOU are speculating. Word of mouth is not proof.
MADE THE CUT!!! I wonder if the Kaho fiasco will hurt us with this guy...
I don't think he's an OKG. Phone is at only 6%. Said he was listing schools in alphabetical order, then lists THE Ohio State University ahead of Ole Miss.

“With that being said I’d like to shut down my recruitment and focus on these open up the cash bidding to these eight schools
Handicapping the field:
LSU — Whooo! Alumni desperate for a winner. Coach O needs a savior. A sure fire “eye opening” visit.
Bama —it’s Bama. Saban. Tosh. Fancy cars. Favorable signing bonuses. Generous monthly allotments. Guranteed pre-game private autograph signing opportunities in an out of the way hotel room.
tOSU —definite player. a favorite of high school coaches with influence over their players everywhere
Ole Miss —Dark Horse. If it comes down to strictly dollars and cents, they are among the leaders
Oregon —cool shit. Lots of fun. Fill the sleeves. Swag bags. Dank gear. An unofficial (all expenses paid under the table) worth making, followed by a weeks worth of pro-Duck tweets, worth $10-$15k from each of the four school above for not making that official to Eugene later this fall
SC —It’s SC and they offer the best packages
Utah —the hometown school gets much respect and a sympathy hat on the table
Washington —Ika’s favorite school. He loves the coaching staff, especially Malloe and Coach Pete. He already feels a kindred bond with the current players. This matters—except Washingtons alumni won’t pony up for talent. No chance though the likely runner up and with it, free pub when Ika dons the UW lid before discarding to the floor

Ika took his first official of the process to USC in late June and has also scheduled a trip to LSU for the weekend of Oct. 13 when the Tigers host Georgia. Ohio State is in good position to earn an official as well, according to a source close to Ika's recruitment.

Which means UW does not get an official..... Sucks..... @StrongArmCobra Roof is he visiting in december or not!

Maybe he can unofficially come watch the Huskies game against Utah this week. He can also unofficially meet some of the players and staff.

Fantastic job of leverage here. He will have all his offers lined up before he heads to Bama to negotiate.
