We're about to pod - we wanted to provide you with our “OFFICIAL DDY RATINGS” for the Early 2018 Signees. Comments welcome (and may get you a shoutout) but dissent will not be tolerated!

Matteo Mele (6’5” 277 OL) Hudl

Coker: This is often what a elite left tackle looks like in HS. Super light on his feet, unreal power, and the frame to add 30-40 pounds. His film is one of my favorites in the class. Watching him stay on blocks downfield while running is a thing of beauty. He has Trey Adams type ability, without question. DDY3

Dennis: You don’t often use the word ‘burst’ when you are describing how a lineman moves, but when you’ve got a big skinny, 6’5, 280 guy who played TE I suppose it’s appropriate. The kid blasts out of his stance and moves like a 220lb guy. When you see his long arms and frame, you immediately think this guy is going to play LT and when he’s moving like that on film? He’s a really high level guy. Top 3-4 LT prospect on the WC this year. DDY2

M.J. Ale (6’6 361 OL) Hudl

Coker: An absolute giant. When you are 361 pounds and well proportioned, you know you are rare. He is not at all anywhere near as good as he could be, but he also might be as good as he’ll ever be. However, with a body like that the upside is worth it. If he gets better he could be a fantastic guard. Now that we know he is 360 pounds I think he actually moves very well for that size, and he even shows ability to combo block up to the second level at that size. He must work on his flexibility, but if things go right UW has a steal. DDY2

Dennis: He’s a fucking 360 pound specimen. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a human that big. He’s a giant, sure - can he move? Can he convert his size to power? Can he bend? I think if all of those questions were answered at this point he’d be the world’s first 6 star recruit and he’d be committed to Bama. We need to see a lot of development before we can get too excited, but man he is big and shows signs that he can move. DDY2

Victor Curne (6’3” 313lb OL) Hudl

Coker: Soft feet, big man, massive punch. ELITE guard potential in the offense UW runs. Curne closes space and overpowers at the point of attack. The most impressive aspect of his game is his lateral movement for a man his size, there is very little wasted movement, everything is coordinated and it’s why he’s so powerful. He has an ass you could set a dinner plate on while he is standing up. DDY 2

Dennis: If I had to design a G for what we do with our Gs, it would look like Victor Curne. The dude has a wide base, but moves his feet laterally, so quickly - really an unusual combination. When you add how strong he is and how he can cover up guys on the second level, you’re talking about a kid who could really be big time for us. DDY2
