He doesn't want to endanger that big Free Agent contract He's about to earn.

He's definitely going in the first few rounds.
    Definitely? First few= 1-3?
Yes. No one will combine anywhere near him which is all that matters.

Remember how Snoop didn't try in college and was always hurt, but got drafted way high and is still in the league? Same thing.
    Snoop?

Stewart ran for 1700 plus yards and over 6 yards a carry as a junior. He was a superstar coming off his best year with a 5 star recruit pedigree. He was also a junior with about half the carries on his body as the senior Freeman and a year younger.

Freeman regressed from his junior to senior years, hell he had the lowest YPC of his career as a senior. He's also not much of a receiver at a time when the value of backs who can catch is at an all time high.

I think the third round is his ceiling unless he completely destroys the combine.

    He's probably a 4th or 5th round guy.

That's a lot more cash than a scholarship stipend.

When did he change positions? Running backs (in this case with a HUGE VAGINA) don't get picked in the first few rounds.

You compared his draft stock to that of Jonathan Stewart's. He's going to make a hell of a lot less on his first contract than he would if he went at 13 like Stewart.

Every good SEC school has a RB coming out and Jawjuh has two better than Royce.

Freeman isn't going ahead of Barkley or RoJo obviously. Bryce Love either if he comes out.

Then there is a whole glut of other guys. Rashaad Penny, LJ Scott, Wardley from Iowa, Josh Adams.

Bottom line is that Freeman clearly isn't one of the top 6-7 backs in the draft. After that it's murky and he could fall anywhere between the 4th to undrafted.

At what point does this end? They're going to start sitting out games against also rans - think when the SEC teams play Mercer or Southeast Kentucky Tech in November.

BTW, I do think they ought to get paid fair market value...doesn't mean you should abandon your brothers on the team...
