Right. I'm not arguing that there's not too many people on food stamps, of course we need to reduce that number. But it's not like people are getting rich off it either, the average benefit is less than $175 a person.salemcoog said:

Sledoog said SNAP went up, but conveniently left out 2013 on. If Hondo's recitation of what happened is incorrect or otherwise misrepresented in any way, that's one thing. But nobody here is saying that.
The point is that there are still 8 Million more people sitting on their ass for food than there were when the economy crashed. Some justified, some not so much.
If you're gonna squeeze out another achor,... er uh baby, you should be able to feed them yourself with money earned by yourself.
The only thing I argue, there is bigger gains to be had in cutting from the government then the SNAP program. -
Eliminate food stamps.
Set up free meal tables on all Wall construction sites.
